initiative of the Traffic Management Center, the bus stop space has been
supplemented with elements for short physical activity. This format reflects an
approach in which urban infrastructure is created not only for movement, but
also for the convenience, health and everyday comfort of people.
Passengers
can now use their bus waiting time for warm-ups, pull-ups, or simple exercises.
This makes sports closer to the usual urban route - on the way to work, school
or home.
Similar
solutions are found in other cities: in Seoul, Beijing, Singapore, Paris,
Bogota and Cali, bus pavilions were turned into mini-activity zones with
turnstiles, steps and other sports equipment. Their idea is simple - movement
can be a natural part of an ordinary day.
For
Tashkent, such a stop is another step towards creating a more comfortable
environment around public transport. Bus prioritization is not only about
routes, lanes, and updated bus shelters, but also about the quality of waiting
itself: safety, convenience, accessibility, and additional opportunities for
residents.
Such
facilities will be installed point-by-point, primarily in densely populated
areas, at stops with a busy route network, and where there is enough space to
safely separate the waiting area from the activity area.
The main
conditions are safety, convenience for passengers, sturdy structures, regular
maintenance and the absence of interference to public transport and
pedestrians.
It should
be recalled that prioritizing public transport is a key task of the khokimiyat
of the capital, and this work includes not only new routes and lanes, but also
a number of related measures.

are open to suggestions from residents and are ready to consider new locations
where such workout stops will really be useful and in demand, as well as their
configuration options.
