This was announced by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Of the total volume, 848,000 tons of cotton were harvested manually, and another 2.6 million tons were harvested using high—performance cotton harvesters. Thus, mechanized harvesting accounts for about 75% of the total harvest.

Of the cotton harvested by hand, 174 thousand tons fell on the plots along the edges of the fields, which must be prepared for the operation of harvesting machines. Another 674 thousand tons were collected by farm workers and agricultural clusters in small areas where equipment cannot enter. Expansion of such sites is planned in the future.

About 3,000 high-performance cotton harvesters are involved in the harvesting campaign. Currently, they are all working in the fields. This year, more than 1,000 modern cotton harvesters have been supplied to farms and agro-clusters under leasing programs.

The pace of mechanized harvesting remains high. So, on October 12, 147 thousand tons of raw cotton were harvested with the help of cotton harvesters. On average, one car per day accounted for about 50 tons of harvest.

Mechanization of harvesting makes it possible to accelerate the cotton harvest and complete the season on time.
