On April 14, 2023, a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States is expected to be held in Samarkand with the participation of delegations from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the CIS Executive Committee. It provides for an exchange of views on topical issues of the international agenda and cooperation within the CIS, discussion of the implementation of joint programs, as well as draft documents submitted to the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth.
On the same day, Samarkand will host the sixth meeting of the foreign Ministers of the Central Asian states and Russia, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
