The proposal of the Director General of the OCA, Hussein Al Musallam, to hold the General Assembly in Tashkent in 2026 was unanimously supported by the participants of the event. This once again confirms the high attention paid in our country to sports and the Olympic movement, and its authority in the international arena.
As you know, the General Assembly is the highest governing body of the Olympic Council of Asia, which is attended by representatives of the National Olympic Committees of 45 countries of the continent. It will discuss important decisions related to the development of sports in the continent, sports policy and promising areas.
In 2022, Tashkent successfully hosted a meeting of the OCA Executive Committee.
