The meeting was also attended by Deputy Head of MIPT Akram Aliyev. The parties discussed the current state of cooperation and identified further areas of cooperation, marking the 30th anniversary of the partnership between Uzbekistan and the ADB.

It was emphasized that cooperation is developing dynamically and includes a wide range of areas: transport, energy, water supply, education, private sector development and entrepreneurship support. The Uzbek side expressed gratitude to the ADB for its contribution to the implementation of reforms and projects aimed at improving the quality of life of the population.

Special attention is paid to preparations for the 59th Annual Meeting of the ADB Board of Governors, which will be held in May 2026 in Samarkand. To coordinate the preparation, it was proposed to form a joint roadmap.

The parties also discussed initiatives for the medium term: expanding financial mechanisms, developing the infrastructure of economic zones, supporting the employment of women and youth, stimulating export-oriented enterprises, and strengthening the role of the private sector. In addition, the preparation of a new Uzbekistan-ADB Partnership Program for 2026-2030 was considered.

Following the meeting, a loan agreement worth $100 million was signed within the framework of the STEM in Secondary Education project. The funds will be used to modernize and develop STEM education in schools in Uzbekistan.
