Abu Dhabi Sewage Services Company to build new water treatment plant in Tashkent

    On November 2 of this year, the Hyatt Tashkent Regency Hotel hosted the signing ceremony of an agreement on the beginning of the study of a project for the construction of a new water treatment and sewerage facility in the Tashkent region to serve the needs of Tashkent between Uzsuvtaminot JSC and the Emirati Abu Dhabi Sewage Services Company (ADSSC).

    As it was noted at the ceremony, the implementation of the project will reduce the load on the existing treatment facilities, as well as significantly improve the efficiency of water treatment processes and the quality of drinking water. In accordance with the Agreement, ADSSC will conduct a study to determine the configuration of the project and its main parameters for the subsequent approval of the terms of financing, construction and operation of the new facility.

    Within the framework of the event, First Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov met with the Chief Executive Officer of ADSSC Ahmed al-Shamsi.

    During the meeting, the successful experience of investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE in the field of energy, agriculture, infrastructure was noted. The readiness to further expand bilateral trade and investment cooperation was expressed.

    The Emirati side highly appreciated the effectiveness of the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, the growing investment attractiveness of the republic and expressed interest in making long-term investments in large projects being implemented in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
