After the successful launch of Beijing - Tashkent - Beijing flights, Air China continues to expand its route network in Uzbekistan by opening a new direct flight service in the direction of Urumqi - Tashkent - Urumqi.

On July 22, at 12:50 p.m., the first flight on this route landed at Tashkent International Airport. The crew and passengers who arrived on the Boeing-737 airliner were traditionally greeted with a water arch, flowers and a welcoming atmosphere.

"The opening of the flight between Urumqi and Tashkent is another step towards strengthening aviation cooperation between China and Uzbekistan. We are confident that this direction will contribute to the expansion of business and tourism ties. It is important for us to provide passengers with reliable, comfortable and modern flights," the airline representative said.

"For our team, this is a significant event - the meeting of a new direction from one of the leaders of international aviation. I am confident that the Urumqi - Tashkent flight will take its rightful place in the route network and become a reliable bridge for strengthening economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between our countries," said Timur Khalilov, Director of Uzbekistan Airports Handling.

Air China flights on the Urumqi - Tashkent - Urumqi route are operated three times a week - on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
