On July 22, at 12:50 p.m., the first flight on this route landed at Tashkent International Airport. The crew and passengers who arrived on the Boeing-737 airliner were traditionally greeted with a water arch, flowers and a welcoming atmosphere.

"The opening of the flight between Urumqi and Tashkent is another step towards strengthening aviation cooperation between China and Uzbekistan. We are confident that this direction will contribute to the expansion of business and tourism ties. Air China flights on the Urumqi - Tashkent - Urumqi route are operated three times a week - on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
