He said this at a meeting with Uzbek Ambassador to Belarus Rakhmatulla Nazarov, discussing preparations for the planned visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Belarus, BelTA has learned.

Lukashenko stressed that the countries are mutually complementary, and cooperation covers agriculture, mechanical engineering, nuclear energy and technology.

"We are ready to work deeply, seriously and for a long time, share technologies and train specialists. This is not charity - it benefits both countries," he said.

In 2025, the trade turnover amounted to almost $855 million (+34.8% by 2024), with a positive balance for Belarus of more than $517 million. The volume of trade in services increased by 56.1% and amounted to $207.9 million. 229 companies with Belarusian participation are registered in Uzbekistan.

Alexander Lukashenko also noted the dynamic development of Uzbekistan, the attraction of international experience and Belarus' willingness to participate in further training and joint projects.
