Prior to this
appointment, he served as Deputy Governor of Fergana Region and Head of the
Department for Investments and Foreign Trade.
Nuriddin
Mamajonov is 45 years old. He graduated from the University of World Economy
and Diplomacy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Central
Bohemia University in the Czech Republic. He holds a Doctor of Business
Administration (DBA) degree from the European Institute of Applied Science and
Management in Prague.
The new
ambassador has held various positions within Uzbekistan's Ministries of Justice
and Foreign Affairs, the Embassy in Germany, and the Consulate General in
Frankfurt am Main. From 2022 to 2023, he served as counselor for trade and
economic affairs at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China and first deputy head of
the Foreign Ministry's Department for Economic Diplomacy.
Nuriddin
Mamajonov succeeds Rahmatulla Nazarov, who headed Uzbekistan's diplomatic
mission in Minsk from 2024 to 2026.
