During the
dialogue, issues of modernizing water management infrastructure, increasing the
energy efficiency of pumping stations, localizing the production of high-tech
equipment, and expanding investment cooperation were discussed.
At the
meeting, information was provided on the reforms being implemented in the field
of water management in Uzbekistan at the initiative of the President, as well
as the results achieved by the country in the direction of Goal 6 of the Sustainable
Development Goals — "Clean Water and Sanitation". It was noted that
this experience is being presented to the international community within the
framework of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF)
taking place in New York City.
The
parties discussed the prospects of implementing the "Pskent
Technopark" investment project with a total value of 267 million US
dollars.
Within the
framework of the project, it is planned to localize the production of pumps,
turbines, generators, high-voltage electric motors, and other modern electrical
equipment, implement technology transfer, and create modern industrial
capacities.
Issues of
developing maintenance services, training engineering personnel, and improving
the qualifications of local specialists were also reviewed.
The
company representatives presented the experience of large industrial projects
implemented in the US and other countries, introducing modern engineering
solutions and innovative technologies.
At the
conclusion of the meeting, Shavkat Khamraev invited the company's management to
participate in the World Forum on Water Saving and the international exhibition
Water Tech Expo 2026, which will be held in the city of Samarkand this autumn.
The
parties expressed their readiness to expand investment cooperation, localize
high-tech production, develop technology transfer, and continue cooperation on
modernizing the water management sector.
