The number of tourists in Bostanlyk has increased 12 times

    President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Bostanlyk district in Tashkent region and got acquainted with the construction and landscaping work progress.

    Tourism is undoubtedly the main driver of the development of this picturesque mountain region. In recent years, the infrastructure has been improved, making it possible to create conditions for recreation at any time of the year. Recreational, health, ski, and other types of complexes, as well as catering establishments, have been built. Sanatoriums and children’s camps have been reconstructed.

    In particular, five years ago, 26 facilities with a total of 2,240 places to stay operated in the district. During this period, more than 2 trillion UZS were invested in the development of tourism, which made it possible to open 59 large tourist facilities with more than 13,000 places to stay. The main road was repaired, and additional highways were built.

    As a result, tourism in the region is developing rapidly: the number of tourists has increased 12 times. Five years ago, Bostanlyk was visited by 850 thousand people per year, and in just 11 months of this year, 12 million visitors came here.

    The construction of the Charvak Gate Tourist Complex is underway on the bank of the Chirchiq River. On an area of ​​about 25 hectares, 16 multi-storey buildings, 3 hotels, 2 supermarkets, more than 60 consumer services facilities, cafes and restaurants, a bank office, a water park, a musical fountain, and a parking lot will be built. Solar panels will be installed on the roofs of the buildings, and a glass bridge will be built over the river.

    The complex will be able to receive more than 5,000 visitors per day, and, taking into account seasonal needs, 2.5 thousand jobs will be created here.

    The President instructed expanding the range of services, developing active tourism, and designing similar complexes in other areas. Particular attention was paid to environmental issues and creating green areas in the complex.
