The President extends condolences to the family of Ismail Jurabekov

    On September 28 of this year, prominent statesman and public figure, Advisor to the Minister of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ismail Jurabekov, passed away.

    Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the home of the late Ismail Jurabekov. Verses from the Quran were recited and prayers were offered.

    The Head of State recalled the good deeds and outstanding services of the statesman to his Motherland.

    Ismail Jurabekov was born on September 12, 1931, in Samarkand, into a working-class family. Throughout his career, he held responsible positions in the water management system and made a significant contribution to the development of irrigation and land reclamation in the country. In 1985, he was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Uzbekistan.

    During the years of independence, Ismail Jurabekov worked productively as First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Head of the State Water Supervision Authority, and State Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

    In recent years, despite his advanced age, Mr. Jurabekov continued his dedicated service as Advisor to the Minister of Water Resources, making an active contribution to the implementation of reforms aimed at building the New Uzbekistan.

    The merits of this distinguished statesman and public figure were duly recognized. He was awarded the honorary title of “Honored Irrigator of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and received several high state awards.

    The Head of State expressed his sincere condolences to the children and family members of the late Ismail Jurabekov, wishing them strength and patience. The family, in turn, expressed deep gratitude to the President for his attention and words of support.
