It was emphasized at the event that the history of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan is closely connected with the history of the entire Kyrgyz people, and as a collegial body it approaches all important issues in coordination with the people. It was emphasized that today the Jogorku Kenesh has become a national platform for expressing the opinions of different segments of the population.
Representatives of the parliaments of the CIS member states also spoke at the conference and congratulated the Kyrgyz people and deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on the 85th anniversary of the formation of the Jogorku Kenesh.
Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva noted in her speech that the open dialogue between the leaders of the two countries, based on mutual trust, has brought Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations to a new level, which, in turn, contributes to more effective inter-parliamentary interaction.
It was emphasized that the country's parliament plays an active role in the successes and achievements of the Kyrgyz Republic, effectively develops and adopts important laws based on democratic principles, participates in building an open society and implementing state programs serving the interests of the people, and also conducts active parliamentary diplomacy with neighbors and foreign countries.
