    On September 8, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Khokim of the Ferghana region Khairullo Bozorov visited the Sughd region to participate in festive programs on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

    As part of the trip, an exhibition of goods and products of the Ferghana region will be organized at the Abuabdullo Rudaki House of Culture, a Forum of entrepreneurs of Sughd and Ferghana regions will be held, reports NIAT "Khovar".

    Also in Guliston, Chairman of the Sughd region Rajabboy Ahmadzoda met with Khokim of the Fergana region Khairullo Bozorov.

    Thanks to the policy pursued by the leaders of the two states, mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between the regions of the two countries is expanding, the exchange of goods and products is growing.

    It was noted that the Sughd region has good economic cooperation with the Fergana, Samarkand, Jizzakh, Namangan and Tashkent regions, and Tajik and Uzbek entrepreneurs are actively involved in the implementation of joint projects.

    In 2021, the trade turnover between the Sughd region and the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to $ 207.5 million. For eight months of this year, the figure was $ 197 million.

    "Sughd region has every opportunity to strengthen cooperation in various fields, including the exchange of goods and products, the creation of new enterprises in the field of cotton processing, fruit and canned food, clothing and footwear production," Rajabboy Ahmadzoda said.

    Khairullo Bozorov congratulated the Tajik people on the 31st anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and noted that a new stage in the development of relations had begun during the years of independence. He expressed satisfaction with the expansion of ties between the regions and readiness to expand cooperation.
