With this indicator, our delegation took 13th place in the medal standings among 206 countries. We became the fourth in the Asian continent, and among the CIS countries, the Central Asian region, as well as the participating countries of Islamic Solidarity and the Organization of Turkic States, we had no equal, and the delegation of Uzbekistan took the first place.
Truly historic results were achieved at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. In particular, our athlete won a gold medal for the first time at the Summer Olympics, boxers became the first in the team competition with 5 gold medals, for the first time in history Uzbek judoists won 3, and taekwondo athletes won 2 medals at the Olympic Games. Despite the fact that the rest of the athletes failed to take prizes, nevertheless, they defended the honor of our Motherland with all their might in the French arenas. The Uzbek delegation made its debut at the current Games in such programs as football, diving, archery and women's wrestling.
Undoubtedly, these results were won thanks to the attention and support of our Esteemed President. In the process of preparing for the Olympics, the necessary conditions were created for each of our national teams, foreign specialists were involved, and the necessary medical and pharmacological facilities were provided in a timely manner.
The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan expresses its deep gratitude to the Head of State and the government for creating the necessary conditions for our delegation during the Games, to all compatriots who experienced and supported our athletes during important competitions, as well as to the team of fans, and sincerely congratulates everyone on winning such historic results.
