Citizen M.V. came to Riga last year to work. However, due to health problems, he was hospitalized in one of the Riga clinics in mid-January, the Dune news agency reports.
Finding himself in a difficult life situation, he turned to the Embassy of Uzbekistan with a request for assistance in returning home and solving his problems.
The diplomats met with hospital staff in Riga and provided practical assistance in processing documents related to M.V.'s return to Uzbekistan. Also, with the assistance of the Embassy and the Riga Office of the International Organization for Migration, the issues of payment of expenses related to the patient's treatment and the purchase of air tickets for repatriation were resolved.
After successful completion of treatment in the hospital, our compatriot arrived in Uzbekistan on a flight operated by Uzbekistan Airways Riga - Tashkent.
