The documents were signed by SCO Secretary General Zhang Ming, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt Hamdi Sanad Loza and State Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Sultan bin Saad Al-Mureikhy.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov took part in the event on behalf of the Uzbek side.
The memoranda provide for cooperation between the SCO and the above-mentioned countries in the areas of regional security and stability, trade and investment, energy, ICT, agriculture, transport and communications, culture, science and technology, education, healthcare, tourism, etc.
The status of a partner state gives the right to participate in events held within the framework of the SCO, at the invitation of the Member States of the Organization.
Memoranda come into force from the date of their signing.
The work on signing memoranda was organized by the Uzbek side within the framework of its chairmanship in the SCO and in order to implement the relevant decisions of the Council of Heads of Member States of the Organization, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
