The parties paid special attention to Egypt's best practices in the development of arid territories, the use of water-saving technologies, such as drip and rain irrigation systems, which are highly relevant for the agricultural sector of Uzbekistan.

Daltex's activities in the field of potato cultivation, processing and export aroused great interest.

For reference: Daltex Corporation operates in 12 regions of Egypt, cultivating about 45,000 hectares of farmland. More than 200,000 tons of potatoes are grown annually, the main export markets of which are Germany, the UAE and other countries. It also produces 50,000 tons of citrus fruits and grapes certified according to international standards. The products are exported to more than 60 countries.

During the meeting, prospects for the implementation of joint projects in the field of modern agriculture, rational land use and water resources management were discussed.

The possibility of introducing Egyptian experience in the field of potato growing in order to increase the production and export of these products in Uzbekistan was also considered.
