By the President's Decree (NO.PD-174,dated September 19,2025) "On the creation of additional conditions for the production of high value-added products and increasing the volume of exports in the light industry sector."
According to the decree, the agency is the authorized state body for developing and implementing priority areas in the textile, leather and footwear, sericulture, and carpet industries.
A Fund for the Support of Light Industry will be established under the Agency.
Starting from October 1, 2025, the agency will apply the following financial support measures for enterprises in the light industry sector:
Attracting international brands, and implementing international systems of standardization, certification, and international standards for financial reporting.
Covering the costs of financing insurance for export contracts, and allocating grants for training specialists.
Covering a portion of foreign expenses related to opening and maintaining trade houses, renting office, commercial, and warehouse buildings, and organizing advertising campaigns in foreign countries.
