French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said that the French armed forces neutralized less than ten Iranian drones heading towards Israel.
Speaking at the National Assembly on the eve of the evening, Lecornu said that France did not take part in the Israeli strikes on Iran. He noted that in the event of a threat, France defends its bases in the region on the basis of the principle of legitimate self-defense.
The minister also said that air defense systems and Rafale fighter jets stationed in the region had intercepted several Iranian drones. In a statement on his page on the social network X, he clarified that he was talking about UAVs heading towards Israel. aa.com.tr.
