The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Almaty recommends fellow citizens to refrain from traveling to Kazakhstan in the next three days

    Severe frosts will persist in the next three days in most of Kazakhstan, including in the regions adjacent to Uzbekistan.

    Due to the spread of the northern anticyclone on the territory of Kazakhstan, a storm warning was announced on January 9 in 8 regions of the republic (Mangistau, Zhetysu, West Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Karaganda, Turkestan, Kostanay, Almaty regions), the Consulate General warns.

    Severe frosts will persist in the next three days in most of Kazakhstan, including in the southern regions. Heavy snow is expected to fall in mountainous areas. In the east, forecasters predict a decrease in temperature to minus 43 degrees, according to the news agency "Dunyo".

    On January 10, due to the deterioration of weather conditions (blizzard, poor visibility, ice), 122 sections of highways across Kazakhstan were closed, of which 42 are of national significance for diesel and public types of vehicles.
