The event was attended by Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdujabbor Abduvokhidov, Minister of Sports Development Adham Ikramov, Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia Otabek Umarov, officials of the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees, athletes and coaches.

Opening the event, Abdujabbor Abduvokhidov noted that the Head of State pays great attention to athletes on a regular basis. He thanked the athletes for their courage in uncompromising competitions and wished them further success.

Also at the event, Adham Ikramov congratulated the Russian delegation on the victory. After that, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the winners of the V Islamic Solidarity Games were awarded one-time monetary rewards in the amount of $ 5,000, silver medal holders - $ 3,000, bronze medalists - $ 2,000.

In turn, the athletes expressed great gratitude for the attention and care provided by the state, and stressed that they would do everything possible to continue to adequately defend the honor of our Motherland in the international arena, the NOC press service reports.
