The Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Parliamentary Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan

    On January 11, 2023, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with Parliamentary Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Yoshikawa Yuumi, who arrived in our country on a visit.

    Views were exchanged on the implementation of previous agreements, as well as the schedule of planned activities at various levels.

    The importance of intensifying inter-parliamentary relations was emphasized. The significant contribution of the Japanese Parliamentary Friendship League with Uzbekistan to strengthening strategic partnership between the countries was noted.

    The interest of the parties in increasing cooperation within the framework of the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue to promote joint projects in the fields of transport, logistics, renewable energy, efficient water use and ecology was reported.

    The commitment of Uzbekistan and Japan to mutual support within the framework of international institutions has been reaffirmed.
