III Interparliamentary Forum of Central Asia: new prospects for cooperation

    The parliamentary delegation of Uzbekistan, led by Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva, is taking part in the III Interparliamentary Forum of Central Asian States, organized by the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek on the theme "Parliaments of Central Asian countries: effective solutions for the comprehensive development of the region."

    The forum is also attended by the heads and delegations of the parliaments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

    During the event, T. Narbayeva spoke and put forward important proposals on new prospects for interparliamentary cooperation in the region.

    During the forum, it was emphasized that the atmosphere of mutual trust and good-neighborliness developing between our countries gives a powerful impetus not only to economic cooperation, but also to cultural and humanitarian ties.

    The parliaments of the Central Asian states highly appreciated the successful 150th anniversary Assembly of the Interparliamentary Union in Tashkent and the important documents adopted within its framework.

    Important issues such as the expansion of trade and economic ties, the implementation of joint investment projects, youth employment and migration, as well as digital security and the development of regional standards were discussed on the agenda.
