Foreigners will be able to obtain a residence permit in Uzbekistan for 250 thousand dollars

    Starting from June 1, 2025, citizens of foreign countries and stateless persons will be granted a residence permit in Uzbekistan in a simplified manner for a period of 5 years for a payment of 250 thousand US dollars and 150 thousand US dollars for each family member (spouse, children and parents).

    According to the Presidential Decree "On measures to stimulate production, export and entrepreneurship, and improve the effectiveness of trade and industrial policy" (PF-67 dated 04/18/2025), from October 1, 2025, the excise tax on white sugar imported into Uzbekistan without flavoring and coloring additives will be abolished.

    Legal entities with 20 or more employees are allowed to pay the amounts of property and land taxes, as well as tax calculated on rent, in installments on July 15 and December 1, 2025.

    Also, in accordance with the Presidential Decree, it is determined that when a part of the VAT paid is refunded to entrepreneurs providing catering services, the income from this activity must be at least 80 percent of the total income from the sale of goods (services).

    In addition, the deadline for fulfilling the obligations of industrial enterprises to self-equip with automatic monitoring stations, dust and gas cleaning equipment, local water treatment plants, as well as stationary observation posts has been extended.:

    · for category I enterprises - until January 1, 2026;

    · for category II enterprises - until July 1, 2026.
