Female drivers have officially started driving passenger buses in Baku

At the first stage, their work will be supervised by experienced drivers and mentors.

It is worth noting that in order to increase the participation of women in the field of public transport, the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) has implemented a special training program. As part of this initiative, female candidates have received comprehensive theoretical and practical training to begin their professional careers as bus drivers.

The training program covered not only driving skills, but also issues of ethical behavior, communication culture and safety. During the training, the participants were involved in practical exercises on viewing techniques, maneuvering, and rules of stopping and parking.

The main part of the training was devoted to driving a vehicle in difficult road conditions, front and rear parking, performing slalom movements, choosing the right turning trajectory and maintaining a safe distance. At the same time, drivers have acquired important skills to minimize the risk of accidents in various traffic situations.

The participants of the program also passed tests on self-driving a bus along specially designed route.

Female candidates have applied to work as drivers at BakuBus LLC. After submitting applications, candidates underwent a medical examination, a psychological assessment, and a safety check as part of the employment process. After successfully completing all the stages, they were officially hired as drivers at BakuBus LLC.

At the stage of employment, training on "Careful management and safe driving" was also organized for women. During the training, drivers were taught the correct reactions to actual and potentially dangerous driving situations, emergency maneuvering skills and principles of safe driving. oxu.az.
