Li Qiang noted that China and Uzbekistan are close neighbors, sharing troubles and joys. He said that the Chinese side is ready to work with Uzbekistan to continuously transform the important consensus reached by the heads of the two states into practical actions and concrete results for the meaningful enrichment of bilateral relations of comprehensive strategic partnership in a new era, the Xinhua news agency reports.
According to him, China, as before, will provide Uzbekistan with firm support in protecting national sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, as well as in choosing the path of development appropriate to the national conditions of the country.
Li Qiang stressed that China intends, together with Uzbekistan, to consider the construction of the Belt and Road as the main line of cooperation, promote further integration of national development strategies, expand trade and economic cooperation, increase interconnectedness, intensify energy cooperation and deepen cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
The PRC encourages its enterprises to invest in Uzbekistan, open and develop business in this country, and also supports Uzbekistan in the development of an innovative economic zone, Li Qiang said, calling on both sides to strengthen cooperation in such areas of humanitarian exchanges as education, culture, tourism, sports, and healthcare.
China expresses its readiness to work with Central Asian countries, including Uzbekistan, to develop cooperation in key areas such as investment, trade and interconnectedness, to form an even closer community of the common destiny of China and Central Asia, Li Qiang added.
Congratulating China on the successful holding of the Asian Games in Hangzhou, A. Aripov, for his part, noted that Uzbekistan highly appreciates the comprehensive strategic partnership with the Chinese side.
Uzbekistan seeks to study the experience of the PRC in deepening reforms, expanding openness and comprehensively promoting modernization in the Chinese style, expects to deepen bilateral cooperation in various fields based on the principles of equality, friendship, mutual benefit and common gain, the Prime Minister stressed.
