Uzbekistan continues to strengthen its position as a reliable investment and industrial partner in the international arena. These days, the delegation of the Uzcharmsanoat Association, headed by First Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Nodirjon Kholmurodov, is holding talks with leading companies of the People's Republic of China.

During the meetings, special attention was paid to the dialogue with the Chairman of the Board of Guojian Zhanmao (Putian) Supply Chain Co., Ltd., which occupies one of the leading positions in the Chinese leather and light industry. During the negotiations, the Chinese side was presented with a proposal to create modern industrial parks for leather and textiles in four strategic regions of Uzbekistan - Bukhara, Navoi, Ferghana and Samarkand regions.

According to preliminary plans, the company intends to implement a project worth 150 million US dollars on an area of 100 hectares. The future industrial park will not only be a site for organizing production, but will also become a centralized industrial hub uniting enterprises in the region.

The project pays special attention to the issues of sustainable development. It is planned to install solar panels in the industrial park, which will fully meet the electricity needs and even transfer excess capacity to neighboring organizations. Thus, the project meets modern requirements for environmental sustainability and energy efficiency.

The management of Guojian Zhanmao confirmed the seriousness of its intentions and announced the planned visit of a business mission to Uzbekistan in September this year. During the visit, the parties intend to coordinate in detail the legal and technical parameters of the project together with government agencies.

It is expected that the creation of a new generation industrial park will make a significant contribution to the development of the leather and textile sector in Uzbekistan, create new jobs, expand the export potential of the industry and serve as an additional incentive for deepening industrial cooperation with China.
