At the meeting, the issues of increasing the volume of investments for the implementation of projects for the development of telecommunications networks, especially in rural settlements and remote areas, the implementation of educational projects with the involvement of international trainers for the training of IT personnel were discussed.
The issue of direct participation of Veon in the implementation of projects for the development of BPO (business process outsourcing) and KPO (knowledge process outsourcing) services through the employment of local youth was also considered.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on improving the material and technical base of educational institutions, financing promising research and startup projects, holding competitions for grants, increasing investments in IT education.
The issue of Veon's participation in the international digital forum, which will be held on October 24-26, 2022 within the framework of "ICT Week Uzbekistan", was also considered, the MITC press center reports.
