It was noted with satisfaction that in recent years relations between our countries have been developing in all spheres in the spirit of friendship, good-neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance thanks to an open, trusting dialogue and the firm political will of the heads of state.

As you know, inter-parliamentary ties are noticeably expanding in interstate relations. From this point of view, the issues of further enriching existing relations with practical actions were discussed.

A proposal has been put forward to improve the efficiency of the work of the inter-parliamentary commission between the Senates of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, in particular, to hold a regular meeting of the Commission and within its framework to sign a new "Roadmap" between the parliaments of the two countries.

Maulen Ashimbayev emphasized the leading role of Uzbekistan in achieving the SDGs and highly appreciated the activities of the Parliamentary Commission for Monitoring the implementation of national goals and objectives in the field of sustainable development of the country for the period up to 2030. He said that the same commission has started functioning in the Parliament of Kazakhstan and in this regard noted the importance of Uzbekistan's experience.

The parties agreed to actively continue the practice of promoting joint initiatives and mutual support within the framework of international parliamentary structures, as well as a number of other international organizations.

At the end of the meeting, confidence was expressed that cooperation between friendly countries and fraternal peoples will continue to develop constructively, based on the principles of mutual respect and consideration of each other's interests, while the inter-parliamentary dialogue will continue more actively.
