Issues related to strengthening defense potential, ensuring the country’s military security, and reviewing progress in implementing the priority tasks outlined at the expanded meeting of the Security Council on January 13 were examined.

It was emphasized that hotbeds of tension and conflict continue to persist around the world, geopolitical competition is intensifying, and the risks of new threats and challenges are increasing. In the context of an unstable international situation, where military actions in certain regions lead to serious humanitarian and economic consequences, strengthening the country’s defense capability and ensuring its security are of particular importance.

The Minister of Defence reported on efforts to enhance the combat readiness of the troops, improve the operational training of units and subunits, equip them with modern weapons and equipment, and develop the infrastructure of military-administrative sectors.

Particular attention was paid to studying the advanced practices of developed countries and combat experience, as well as to introducing modern approaches into the system of military command and training. In particular, the need to broaden the application of new technologies, including unmanned systems and digital command solutions, to enhance troops' effectiveness was emphasized.

Specific tasks were outlined for modernizing and developing the infrastructure of military-administrative sectors, training grounds, educational institutions, and logistics facilities, in line with modern requirements.

Instructions were given to consistently improve the military personnel training system, strengthen research and development, and expand programs to master advanced weapons and technologies.

Following the meeting, the Head of State set further tasks aimed at the continued development of the Armed Forces and the strengthening of the country’s defense capability.
