On January 14, a ceremony of awarding these high awards took place in the Presidential Administration.
The Head of the state, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces congratulated all servicemen and veterans on this glorious date.
“Over thirty years of independent development, we have formed our own Armed Forces, trained dedicated soldiers, officers and generals, equipped with the necessary weapons. As a result, today we have a strong army. All this serves as the basis for lasting peace, stability and tranquility in our homeland”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
In recent years, extensive work has been carried out to increase the combat capability of the defense system. The military management system has been almost completely rebuilt. Effective mechanisms have been established to ensure the interaction of the branches of the armed forces. Units have been created that can quickly perform the most difficult tasks. The level of combat and psychological training of troops has increased. Military-administrative sectors that have no analogs in world practice have been established.
The Academy of the Armed Forces, the newly established Military Medical Academy, as well as Temurbeklar Maktabi military academic lyceums and other specialized educational institutions, are becoming a solid foundation for training professional personnel for the sphere. There is a growing interest and desire for military service among young people.
Every year, on the eve of the Defender of the Motherland Day, a meeting of the Security Council is held, at which the work carried out in the sphere and important tasks for the future are discussed.
“At yesterday's meeting, we outlined big plans to further strengthen our power, develop all areas of military science and personnel training. Having thoroughly analyzed the events taking place in the world and our region, we will take additional measures to ensure the tranquility of our people and the inviolability of our borders. We believe only in our strength”, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief said.
It was emphasized that defenders of the Motherland should set an example for young people with their knowledge and qualities.
“The most important task that I have set for the military districts, military-administrative sectors is to ensure the unity of the army with the people, to promote the cause of the exaltation of human honor and dignity. I am sure that you will be at the forefront of this work and serve as a model for young people with every action”, the President said.
The principle of “In the name of honor and dignity of the person” finds its embodiment in the military sphere. Decent conditions of service and life are being created for military personnel. In particular, over the past five years, about 10 thousand servicemen have been provided with housing on preferential loans. Issues of employment and medical care of military personnel who have served do not remain without attention.
The festive events taking place at places today and the awarding ceremonies for patriots are other examples of the implementation of this principle.
At the ceremony, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev solemnly presented certificates of conferring honorary titles, orders and medals. He wished the defenders of the Motherland good health and great success in the effective performance of their noble duty.
“Unfortunately, it is impossible to gather all the award-winning people in this hall. But I sincerely congratulate all the awardees and those who are not here today with the high ranks, orders and medals of our state. The award is a symbol of the attention and trust of our people. It will give you even more strength and energy, will motivate you to achieve new victories. The people, who have brave defenders, look proudly and confidently into the future”, President said.
The event participants thanked the Head of the state for the high awards and constant attention.
