It should be noted that the Belarusian Association of Light Industry was established in 2021 in order to study and apply the practice and experience of leather and shoe associations of countries such as China, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Italy and Turkey at the enterprises of the country.

The main goal of this organization is to act as a bridge between market participants and government agencies, form a common vision and promote initiatives. One of the tasks of the Association is also to improve the regulatory framework in the light industry.

During the visit to Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Belarusian Association of Light Industry Enterprises Nikolay Martynov met with Chairman of the Association "Uzcharmsanoat" F. Boboev. During the conversation, the guest noted that in order to implement the tasks set for the Belarusian Association, it will be able to adopt the vast experience accumulated by Uzbekistan in the leather and shoe industry and apply the principles of work in this area in our country in its activities.

Following the talks, a memorandum of cooperation on strengthening bilateral relations was signed. This document is intended to promote the fact that the parties will jointly implement joint projects based on new innovative developments. It will help protect and support the interests of entrepreneurs. The document will facilitate the mutual exchange of accumulated experience in the leather-shoe and fur-fur industries of the two countries.

The parties also reached an agreement on the organization of joint events aimed at the development of trade and economic ties between the two countries, the establishment of industrial cooperation.
