During the meeting, issues of improving the tax system of Uzbekistan, further digitalization of tax administration, the introduction of modern technologies, as well as increasing transparency and efficiency of work with taxpayers were discussed.

Special attention was paid to measures to reduce the shadow economy and create an environment for voluntary compliance with tax obligations.

It was noted that the meeting took place on the eve of the International Forum of Heads of Tax Administrations of the Caucasus, Central Asia and Mongolia, which is scheduled to be held on March 12-13 in Tashkent with the support of the IMF.

Following the talks, the parties confirmed their intention to continue active cooperation and strengthen cooperation in the implementation of joint initiatives to develop modern tax administration.
