The present Law introduced additions and amendments to the Law "On Publishing Activity" aimed at the following:
Defining the legal status of the editor-in-chief of a publishing house;
Supporting the culture of reading.
According to the additions introduced by the Law, a person who has a higher education and at least 3 years of work experience in publishing activity will be appointed to the post of editor-in-chief.
The editor-in-chief will be appointed to and dismissed from the post by the founder(s) or the head of the organization.
The decision on publishing the publishing house's editions will be made by the editor-in-chief.
The Law will enter into force from the day of its official publication.
