The volume of transfers via Uzcard and Humo in 2023 amounted to 224.3 trillion soums

    In 2023, the total volume of money transfers from card to card (P2P) in the national Uzcard and Humo systems amounted to 224.3 trillion soums ($18 billion), which is 56% more than in 2022. This is reported by the data of the Central Bank.

    Last year, the share of payments made through the Uzcard and Humo systems amounted to 65.7% and 34.3%, respectively, while in 2022 these figures were 68.3% and 31.7%.

    In the same year, the number of transactions through the Instant Payments system increased by 78%, and the volume increased by 35% compared to 2022, reaching 31.4 million transactions and 603.8 trillion soums, respectively.

    The volume of budget payments transferred to the Treasury of the Ministry of Economy and Finance increased almost 3 times compared to 2022, exceeding 64.2 trillion soums.

    By the end of last year, due to the expansion of payments through the instant payment system, 91% of all payment orders of legal entities were executed remotely, without the need to visit the bank.

    Payments through the clearing settlement system increased by 30%, reaching 78 trillion soums. Half of all operations were carried out by UzAuto Motors.

    In addition, despite a small increase in the number of QR code transactions, their total amount increased 2.5 times, from 137 billion soums to 337 billion soums last year.
