In recent years, large-scale initiatives have been implemented in the country to protect nature, improve air quality, expand green areas, and adapt to climate change. However, the existing management system remains fragmented: responsibilities and powers are distributed across various agencies, thereby reducing the effectiveness of ongoing efforts.
In this regard, proposals to improve the sector’s management were considered at the meeting.
It was proposed to concentrate the implementation and financing of environmental projects aimed at improving environmental conditions and air quality in cities, expanding green areas, developing environmental awareness, and preserving natural heritage within a unified management system. The importance of ensuring the targeted and transparent use of resources was emphasized.
Plans were presented to strengthen environmental control and expand the powers of relevant agencies. Mechanisms for prompt response to violations, prevention of illegal tree cutting and air pollution, greater public involvement in environmental monitoring, as well as measures to improve ecological regulation in industry and to ensure the preservation of green areas in populated areas were discussed.
The President approved the submitted proposals and instructed that they be refined to improve the quality and efficiency of management, strengthen control, and enhance accountability in the sector.
