The Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) published an updated analysis of activity in the Uzbek car market.

At the end of October, sales of all types of motor vehicles in the republic reached 112.5 thousand units. This figure is 11% higher than in the previous month. Increased sales activity was recorded in all key market segments.

The passenger car segment in the primary and secondary markets showed a monthly growth of 12.7%, reaching 95.4 thousand units.

The highest growth was recorded in Namangan, Jizzakh, and Bukhara regions, where sales increased by more than 20%. At the same time, a slight decrease in activity was observed in Samarkand region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

Situation in the Primary Car Market

According to October results, passenger car sales in the primary market increased by almost 19%, which indicates the sale of an additional 6 thousand cars. Within the segment, sales of new domestically produced passenger cars reached 33.4 thousand units, a 22% increase compared to the previous month. Sales of new foreign cars exceeded September figures with a slight increase (+1.1%) and amounted to 4.5 thousand units.

Growth Rate in the Secondary Car Market

In October, sales in the secondary market for passenger cars increased by 9% compared to the previous month, reaching 57.4 thousand units. Sales of electric vehicles in the secondary market exceeded 3 thousand units, recording a monthly growth of 15.2%. This figure is 2.3 times higher than the same period last year.
