On July 21, the Tashkent City General Directorate for Emergency Situations received a report of a pungent chemical odor detected on Uzumbog Street in Almazar district. Information about a possible leak quickly spread on social media.

Specialists from the radiation, chemical, and biomedical protection department of the capital's Ministry of Emergency Situations immediately arrived at the scene.

According to preliminary data, the leak occurred from a container with hydrogen peroxide located in one of the warehouses in the specified area.

The situation was quickly localized and completely neutralized by 04:00. Currently, emergency personnel continue to work to eliminate the consequences of the incident and monitor security in the surrounding areas.

After completing all necessary checks, additional information will be published.
