The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan received the delegation of the Russian Federation

    On September 10, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the delegation of the Russian Federation led by the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin.

    The Russian delegation is visiting Uzbekistan as part of the program of the fifth meeting of the Joint Commission at the level of the heads of government of Uzbekistan and Russia.

    Mikhail Mishustin conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the President of Uzbekistan from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

    During the talks, issues of further enhancing multifaceted cooperation, comprehensive strategic partnership, and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia were discussed.

    Particular attention was paid to implementing the decisions and agreements made during the state visit of the President of Russia to Uzbekistan on May 26-28 this year.

    In this context, the fruitful results of the Joint Commission’s regular meeting held the day before were highly appreciated.

    It was noted that coordinated measures are important to maintain the dynamics of trade turnover and support and accelerate cooperation projects in industry, the energy sector, agriculture, transport, and other priority sectors of the economy.

    The President of Uzbekistan spoke in favor of further enhancing practical cooperation at the regional level, continuing intensive cultural and humanitarian exchange, and organizing practical cooperation in migration.

    At the meeting, views on issues of mutual interest were exchanged.
