The President of Uzbekistan supports the innovative projects of ACWA Power

Issues of implementation of current projects and opportunities for cardinal expansion of partnership were discussed at the meeting of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power Mohammad A. Abunayyan, held on the sidelines of the Investment Forum.

The Head of state noted with satisfaction the fruitful cooperation with the Saudi company, which is the largest investor in the development of the green energy sector of Uzbekistan.

Projects worth $7.5 billion are currently being implemented in alternative energy. In addition, new projects for constructing solar and wind power plants and producing green hydrogen are being actively prepared.

Prospects for further deepening cooperation, primarily the promotion of innovative projects, including within the framework of the Uzbek-Saudi Business Council, were discussed during the conversation.
