The FIFA President highly appreciated and fully supported the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan to develop football, broadly involve young people and girls in it, educate talents, create an accessible and modern infrastructure, and train qualified coaches and industry specialists.
He sincerely congratulated the Leader of Uzbekistan on the recent victory of the youth national team in the Asian Cup, which, according to him, was another confirmation of the effectiveness of ongoing practical work in this direction.
At the meeting, the highest level of close and fruitful cooperation between the Uzbekistan Football Association and FIFA was noted with particular satisfaction, within which measures are currently being taken to create a modern football cluster in the country.
Particular attention was paid to the preparation and holding of world sports events and championships in Uzbekistan, the expansion of technical assistance in the preparation of the national team, the development of infrastructure and capacity building of the Uzbekistan Football Association, as well as the development of a mechanism for selecting talented football players.
