The President of Uzbekistan noted with particular satisfaction the fruitful interaction with the UNRCCA and other UN structures in the development of a constructive dialogue and multifaceted cooperation in Central Asia.
It was emphasized that over the past few years, at the initiative of Uzbekistan and with the support of the entire international community, four General Assembly resolutions have been adopted on the most relevant areas of partnership in the region.
With the direct participation of the center, several major international forums and meetings were jointly organized in Uzbekistan. In addition, the platforms of the Women Leaders’ Dialogue in Central Asia and the Preventive Diplomacy Academy for Youth were launched.
Natalia Gherman expressed her deep gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for his important initiatives, which helped to strengthen the atmosphere of friendship, good neighborliness and trust in the region, and enhance practical interaction.
The UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative assured that in her new position as head of the Executive Structure of the United Nations Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee, she would continue to promote close cooperation with Uzbekistan in ensuring regional security and stability.
