Leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan discuss current issues of further enhancing multifaceted cooperation

    On August 27, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

    Current issues of further strengthening friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan and enhancing multifaceted cooperation between the two countries were considered.

    The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan conveyed sincere greetings from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the President of Uzbekistan.

    The leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan noted with deep satisfaction the dynamic development of bilateral relations. Active political dialogue and intensive exchanges continue, mutual trade turnover is growing steadily, and cooperation between leading enterprises in various sectors of the economy is strengthening.

    Joint cultural and humanitarian events are held regularly.

    During the conversation, special attention was paid to promoting joint transport, communications, and energy projects.
