The President of Uzbekistan warmly congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on his birthday, wishing him good health and well-being, as well as peace and prosperity to the brotherly Turkmen people.

The current issues of development and strengthening friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were discussed.

The intensive political dialogue and fruitful interagency contacts were noted with deep satisfaction.

Special attention was paid to increasing trade turnover and promoting cooperation projects in the industry and energy sectors. The construction of the Shavat – Dashoguz trade zone is nearing completion. Plans were outlined to hold a Regional Forum, an exhibition, and the Days of Culture and Cinema of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan.

The current aspects of the regional agenda and the schedule of upcoming high-level events were also considered.
