The team led by Ravshan Khaydarov currently has 4 points in Group "C," tied with South Korea. A victory in today’s clash will grant our representatives a spot in the quarter-finals as group leaders.
In a parallel match, the youth teams of Iran and Lebanon will compete against each other.
According to the competition regulations:
If Uzbekistan defeats South Korea, they will advance to the quarter-finals as the 1st place team in Group "C."
A scoreline draw (1:1, 2:2, 3:3) will see both Uzbekistan and South Korea advance, regardless of the parallel match result (based on goals scored in head-to-head matches).
In the event of a 0:0 draw:
If Iran defeats Lebanon by at least a two-goal margin, Iran advances.
If Iran wins by a one-goal margin (1:0, 2:1), Uzbekistan advances.
If Iran wins 3:2, the goal difference will be equal, and the fair play record (number of yellow and red cards) between Uzbekistan and Iran will be considered.
For reference: All matches of the 3rd round will start simultaneously at 16:30 Tashkent time. The Uzbekistan team will play in white kits, while the goalkeeper will be in black. The match will take place at the "Prince Faisal Bin Fahd" stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
