    At a briefing in AIMK, the head of the information service for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health, Maftuna Saidova, presented information on measures taken in this direction in connection with July 28 - World Hepatitis Day.

    From July 1 of this year, the number of annual screening examinations of the population of the republic will be increased to 1 million, the number of examinations by polymer chain reaction (PCR) - up to 15 thousand, and the treatment of patients infected with viral hepatitis "C" - up to 10 500.

    In order to prevent infection with hepatitis B infection of persons at high risk of infection, including medical workers working with blood and its components, vaccination has begun.

    During 2022-2023, vaccination against hepatitis B virus infection is planned to fully cover about 120 thousand medical workers.
