The Polish Foreign Ministry recommended that its citizens urgently leave Belarus and refrain from traveling to this country. This was announced by the Polish Embassy in Minsk.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends refraining from any trips to the Republic of Belarus and urges Polish citizens staying in the Republic of Belarus to leave its territory immediately using available commercial and private means," the embassy's press service said in a statement.
It is claimed that such recommendations are being made in connection with the aggravation of the situation on the border of the two countries and the arbitrary arrests of Polish citizens.
Poland closed all border crossings on the border with Belarus that had been operating until then on the night of September 11-12.
