The Ambassador of Uzbekistan presented his credentials to the King of Sweden

    On December 4, the new Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov, presented his credentials to King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.

    During the conversation, which took place after the official ceremony, the prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Sweden in various areas were discussed, the Doone news agency reports.

    Special attention was paid to the issues of increasing the volume of mutual trade between the two countries, encouraging ties between economic sectors and businessmen, strengthening and expanding cooperation in the fields of adaptation to climate change, the "green" economy, science and education, health and culture.

    Recall that Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov arrived in Stockholm on October 15 as the ambassador of Uzbekistan. Prior to his appointment to Sweden, he worked as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan in 2023-2024. He holds a PhD in Political Science (DsC).

    He speaks German, Spanish and English.
