The head of the upper house of the country's parliament warmly welcomed the distinguished guest, noting that the visit of the Bulgarian President is a confirmation of the desire of both sides to strengthen and deepen mutually beneficial partnership.
During the conversation, it was emphasized that Uzbek-Bulgarian relations are steadily developing on a solid contractual and legal basis, which includes 28 bilateral documents.
Bulgarian President Rumen Radev noted that the Tashkent International Investment Forum, which is taking place in our country, is an important platform for the economic development of Central Asian countries and international investment cooperation.
During the dialogue, special attention was paid to the issues of intensifying inter-parliamentary relations. In this regard, the importance of inter-parliamentary dialogue was noted, and the visit of the Bulgarian President to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis will give an impetus to the intensification of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.
The parties expressed a common opinion on the need to establish systematic interaction between the parliaments, including holding regular meetings at the level of heads of chambers and relevant committees, developing joint plans for interparliamentary friendship groups, as well as exchanging experience in the field of lawmaking.
